In the racing world, safety cars aren’t just picked at random. Instead, each series has to choose a car that not only sets the pace at the beginning of the pack, but also packs some innovative technologies. For the MotoGP, this means the BMW M4 Safety Car, which the German carmaker recently debuted.
The BMW M4 Safety Car debut unveiled the Official Car of MotoGP with BMW’s iconic striped livery, an updated aero kit, a beautifully retrofitted interior, and a variety of emergency equipment that is sure to keep the track safe. The BMW M4 coupe even has a new injection system under the hood that injects water into the combustion chamber, rather than fuel, making it easy to keep up with the racecars.
This innovative injection system is supposed to keep the air at a more optimal temperature within the engine, helping it combust faster. When a vehicle combusts faster, it also moves quicker. We can only guess that this new injection system is sure to make an appearance on more than just the BMW M4 Safety Car.
