The 2013 Frankfurt auto show unveiled the BMW 4 Series Coupe family. The 435i M Performance Parts were present along with the 428i, 435i and 420d. The 428i Coupe packs the heat delivering 240 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque from a 2.0-liter inline-four engine. The 428i is expected go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds.
The 420d entry-level produces 184 horsepower at 4000 rpm and 280 lb-ft of torque at 1750-2750 rpm. The 420d is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine. The fuel consumption is rated at 50 mpg. The 435i is powered by a 2979cc 6-cylinder turbo engine that produces 306 hp at 5800 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque at 1,200-5,000 rpm. It will be available as either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic both having rear-wheel drive. It goes from 0-62 mph in an estimated 5.4 seconds for the manual and 5.1 seconds for the automatic.
The 4 Series Coupe will be offered in Luxury, Sport and M Packages.
