With summer fast approaching, that means the warmer weather is too. Warm weather isn’t just hard on you but it’s hard on your car too. Here are some great tips on how to protect your car this summer!
Take Care of Your Battery!
When the temperature rises the liquid that is inside your battery evaporates. If your battery is more than a few years old, you could end up stranded with a dead battery that won’t charge and possibly not even jump start.
Park in the Shade!
The sun not only makes the inside of your car a hotbox, but it also makes the dash and leather seats fade quicker. Whenever it’s a sunny day, try to park in the shade to help prevent this from happening. Nobody wants a dull interior!
When it’s windy, focus on driving
Summer doesn’t just bring sunny warm weather; it also brings strong winds and rain. Most of us are one-handed drivers but during windy conditions drive with both hands to keep more control
of your car. Keep distance between you and the car in front of you, especially tractor-trailers.
While summer usually means fun in the sun and no worries, make sure you take care of your car!
