In the world of luxury vehicles, BMW stands out fiercely against its competitors. One of BMW’s top rivals, Cadillac, has been vying for the attention of consumers for years and has been inching closer and closer in an attempt to outrank BMW. The Detroit based automaker has been updating and upgrading its lineup of cars, attempting to reach the level of excellence and class that BMW has set for these performance luxury vehicles.
While you’ll find that many of the Cadillac and BMW vehicles are comparable in price, you have to keep in mind some of the finer details that BMW brings to the table. Cadillac does set a good pace when it comes to performance with their ATS-V and CTS-V models in comparison to the BMW 3 Series and M5, respectively. But when you get to the higher scale models, BMW prevails with the 7 Series and 5 Series undeniably outshining the Cadillac CT6.
The CT6 is competitively priced with the BMW 5 Series and boasts a luxurious interior, but starts to falter in the realm of performance. There is an option to add an upgraded twin turbocharged V8 engine but it comes at quite a price, which then lifts it to the BMW 7 Series competing range. The highly advanced technology in the 7 Series, including infrared camera display, simply knocks Cadillac out of the competition.
While they are definitely making strides when it comes to improving their lineup, Cadillac still needs to up their game in order to reach the level of quality BMW currently upholds.
